What HeyTalent is and how it works

A two-minute tour of the platform: from finding profiles to sending the first message.

Updated

HeyTalent is an intelligent sourcing platform: it lets you pull LinkedIn profiles, filter them with AI, find contact details and automate first contact, all in one place.

If you're coming from LinkedIn Recruiter or a spreadsheet, the main difference is that work here is organised around lists: one list per role you're filling.

The four pieces

1. Profile extraction

You describe the profile you're after (headline, keywords, years of experience, location) and HeyTalent builds a list of candidates with up-to-date profiles. You can also start from your own CSV if you already have the candidates identified.

2. Scoring with AI criteria

Instead of reading profile after profile, you define evaluation criteria: whether they've led teams, whether they have the stack you asked for, how well they match the job description. The AI proposes them from your role description, you rank them by relevance and add your own. The result is columns in the list you can sort and filter.

3. Contact details

For the candidates that survived your screen, you can look up email and phone so you're not stuck inside LinkedIn.

4. Campaigns

Connection requests with a note, messages and follow-ups that go out on their own from your LinkedIn account, personalised with each candidate's data.

You don't have to use all four. Plenty of teams start with lists and AI variables only, and add campaigns once their sourcing process is working.

What you need to get started

  • A HeyTalent account with credits. Credits are the platform's currency: they're spent pulling candidates and looking up contact details. See how credits work.
  • Your LinkedIn account connected, if you're going to run campaigns. You don't need it to build and filter lists.

Where to go next

  1. Connect your LinkedIn account
  2. Create your first candidate list
