Connecting your LinkedIn account is the first thing to do. It's what lets HeyTalent send connection requests, messages and follow-ups from your own profile, with your name and your photo: the candidate sees you, not a tool.
What you need first
- Your personal LinkedIn account, the one you source with.
- A Premium Business, Sales Navigator or Recruiter licence if you want to send invitations at volume. It works on a free account, but LinkedIn caps how many you can send.
Setting your sending limits
Once the account is connected, the LinkedIn section of the menu is where you shape how it behaves. It's worth two minutes before you launch anything:
- Time zone. Sets the window your actions go out in, so your messages land during the candidate's working hours rather than at 3am.
- Daily invitations. The cap on invitations sent per day. We recommend 25, the number that keeps an account comfortable. On Premium Business, Sales Navigator or Recruiter you can stretch it to 30 or 35.
- Days of the week. Which days invitations go out. Leaving the weekend off makes the activity look like a person's rather than a robot's.
